Open rehearsal of Under the Full Moon
One week before the premiere of Under the Full Moon, Moomsteatern opens their doors during Malmö Scenfest and welcomes the public to an open rehearsal.
Directors Rikard Lekander and Cecilia Milocco transform Lisa Förare’s book Under the Full Moon into a visual masterpiece which will play on all your feelings and senses. During the open rehearsal you have the chance to work the ongoing work process.
Under the Full Moon takes place one night at Cissi’s Café. Ali is cleaning up when suddenly there is a knock at the door. Outside stands a mysterious creature bathed in moonlight. It is Mona, who is going to come inside and bake. Ali thinks this is a little odd, but somehow it feels quite natural and familiar all the same. As if it were something that just slipped his mind. The same way he has forgotten where he comes from.
Mona is expecting visitors to the café and one by one they turn up throughout the night. All of those who cannot sleep. All those who are grieving, aching and losing their footing. Those who need Mona. Without having even looked for the café, they end up there anyway. Magnus who has been left alone with a dog he does not want. Kristin who takes care of the children at home and patients at work, but not of herself. Åke who will soon die, but who nevertheless does not want to live. Linnea who wants to live in the dark and in a fantasy world, so no one will see how ugly she is.
Under the Full Moon is a story full of heart-breaking reality and inspirational, hopeful magic. A place where raw reality meets mystic fantasy. A fairy-tale for grownups.
