When darkness falls

During rehearsals we have allowed improvisation to be our guiding text and joyfulness to guide our delivery and performance. We have always consistently worked in collaboration with ABF, Maf, the City of Malmö and others, to make our dreams come true.

For this production When darkness falls we are collaborating with Teater Faktum, a theatre group with members from Gafis (Gatutidninförsäljarnas Förening i Skåne – Skåne’s Association for street newspaper sellers). We have chosen to work on a play that reflects society. Who has a right to affluence?

Guided tour of Palladium

Join us for a guided tour of Palladium! You will hear all about the building’s exciting history from 1920, when glass and porcelain company director Löfberg opened the doors to his Cinema and Concert Hall. It was here for example that Carola rose to fame with her mega hit “Främling!”/”Stranger!”  in the Swedish Melodifestivalen /Swedish Eurovision Heats in 1983.

Stars such as Jussi Björling, Alice Babs, Laurel and Hardy have also performed here. Much of the original décor is still intact, such as the impressive crystal chandeliers and the painted ceiling.

Palladium was re-inaugurated in 2004 as a performance venue for music and dance and is now run by Musik i Syd in close collaboration with Dansstationen. 

HIPP 123

Hippodromen, a historical cavalcade of three centuries. In collaboration with Malmö Stadsteater. The exhibition covers pictures, costumes and props from 1899 to 2022. This exhibition has been developed in close collaboration with Malmö City Theatre.
