PROVA-PÅ-TEATER

Vi på Teaterscentralen vet vad som händer när människor får leka, skratta och ta plats – för vi har sett det hända i många, många år. Vår prova-på-teaterworkshop pågår under ca 45 min och är just som det låter. har genomförts gång på gång med nöjda, modigare och gladare deltagare som gått hem med rosiga kinder, träningsvärk i skrattmusklerna och  med mersmak. Det är precis den energin vi arbetar med – den där känslan av att få släppa taget, vara i nuet och upptäcka nya sidor av sig själv tillsammans med andra.

Inga krav, bara möjligheter. Vi jobbar generationsövergripande, i ett tryggt och avslappnat tempo där skratt, lekfullhet och mod går hand i hand. Du får utforska kroppsspråk, röst, fantasi och improvisation i ett rasande tempo – utan prestige, men med massor av lust.

Vi tar emot max 15 deltagare för att skapa en varm och personlig atmosfär där alla blir sedda. 

Välkommen till skrattet, leken och teaterglädjen – vi lovar att du inte kommer ångra dig. 🎭✨

 

Vilka är vi?

Teaterscentralen bildades 1999 och skapar bl a föreställningar och kurser. Vi är ett teaternätverk och idag är vi ca 100 medlemmar. Teaterscentralen har funnits sedan 1994 och 2024 firar vi vårt 30 års jubileum med pompa och ståt!

Redan från start formulerade vi en vision om Teaterscentralen som ett forum för nätverk, forskande och utvecklande av scenkonst, där vi arbetar med både unga och vuxna, amatörer och proffs. Vi tror på det generationsövergripande där vi lär av varandra.

Vi älskar scenkonst som upplevelse och metod. Punkt slut.

TRY-OUT THEATRE WORKSHOP

At Teaterscentralen, we know what happens when people get to play, laugh, and take the stage—we’ve seen it happen for many, many years. Our 45-minute try-out-theatre workshop is exactly what it sounds like. It has been held time and time again with satisfied, braver and happier participants who leave with rosy cheeks, aching from laughter, and a desire for more.

That’s the energy we work with—the feeling of letting go, being present and discovering new sides of yourself together with others. No pressure, only possibilities. We work across generations in a safe and relaxed pace where laughter, playfulness, and courage go hand in hand. You will explore body language, voice, imagination, and improvisation— no need to impress, just masses of joy.

We accept a maximum of 15 participants in order to create a warm and personal atmosphere where everyone can be seen and heard.

Welcome to laughter, play, and the joy of theatre—we promise you won’t regret it!

Who are we?
Teaterscentralen was founded in 1999 and creates performances and courses. We are a theatre network with around 100 members. Teaterscentralen has existed since 1994, and in 2024 we celebrated our 30th anniversary with great fanfare. From the very beginning, we envisioned Teaterscentralen as a forum for networking, researching, and developing performing arts, working with both young people and adults, amateurs and professionals. We believe in intergenerational exchange—learning from one another.
We love performing arts as both experience and method. Full stop.

Öppet Hus på Malmö Stadsteater Rosengård

Välkommen till Malmö Stadsteaters nya scen på Frölichs väg 4 i Rosengård! Vi bjuder på en innehållsrik dag med föreställningar, öppen repetition, läsning, konsert, dockteaterverkstad och fika.

Kom med familjen och ta del av vår teaterföreställning Ägget – en dramatisering av Lennart Hellsings älskade klassiker. Ägget är filosofisk historia om livet och alla våra drömmar om att bli någonting alldeles speciellt. Föreställningen spelar kl 11.00 och 13.00 och rekommenderas från 6 år. Passa också på att besöka vår dockteaterverkstad där du kan göra en docka och spela din egen dockteaterpjäs! 

För en äldre publik finns programpunkter med start från kl 15.00. Då bjuder vi in till Öppen repetition av Picknick på Slagfältet med Malmö Stadsteaters nystartade ungdomsensemble. Vi får ett smakprov ur denna absurdistiska pjäs som utspelar sig mitt under ett krig där soldatens mor och far kommer på besök med picknickkorg. Den öppna repetitionen följs av kort samtal med ensemblen.

Därefter läser några av våra skådespelare texter ur Här var vårt hus – barns berättelser från Gaza, novellsamlingen som kom ut våren 2025 och som fick stor uppmärksamhet runtom i teatersverige. Dagen avslutas med en konsert med bandet Cassette Project, som besökte Malmö Stadsteater Rosengård i höstas. De tar oss med på en musikalisk upplevelse genom den arabiska popscenen med sitt både nostalgiska och helt nya sound. 

 

Vilka är vi?

Malmö Stadsteater har en fast skådespelarensemble och spelar teater på svenska på framförallt fyra scener; Hippodromen, Intiman, Studion och Rosengård samt bedriver deltagarbaserad verksamhet i Ateljén på Kalendegatan 12.

Vår nya scen på Frölichs väg 4 i Rosengård ligger i Drömmarnas hus tidigare lokaler. Här spelar vi företrädesvis barn- och ungdomsteater för skolklasser på dagtid och för familj på helger och kvällstid. Vi har även kursverksamhet för barn och unga på eftermiddagar och skollov.

Welcome to Malmö City Theatre’s new stage at Frölichs väg 4 in Rosengård.
We invite you to a full day of performances, an open rehearsal, readings, a concert, a puppet theatre workshop, and coffee.

Bring the family and enjoy our theatre performance The Egg—a dramatization of Lennart Hellsing’s beloved classic. The Egg is a philosophical story about life and all our dreams of becoming something truly special. Performances at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Recommended for ages 6 and up. Don’t miss our puppet theatre workshop where you can make a puppet and put on your own puppet show!

For older audiences, program events begin at 3:00 pm. We invite you to an open rehearsal of Picnic on the Battlefield with Malmö City Theatre’s newly launched youth ensemble. Enjoy a preview of this absurdist play set in the middle of a war, where a soldier’s mother and father arrive with a picnic basket. The open rehearsal is followed by a short talk with the ensemble.

After that, some of our actors will read texts from Here Was Our House – Children’s Stories from Gaza, the short story collection published in spring 2025 that received great attention throughout the Swedish theatre scene.

The day concludes with a concert by the band Cassette Project, who toured to Malmö City Theatre Rosengård last autumn. They take us on a musical journey through the Arabic pop scene with a sound that is both nostalgic and entirely new.

Who are we?
Malmö City Theatre has a permanent ensemble of actors and produces theatre in Swedish primarily on four stages: Hippodromen, Intiman, Studion, and Rosengård. We also do audience-focused immersive work/performance at Ateljén on Kalendegatan 12, Malmö.

Our new stage at Frölichs väg 4 in Rosengård is located in the former premises of Drömmarnas Hus. Here, we primarily perform children’s and youth theatre for school classes during the day and for families on weekends and evenings. We also offer courses for children and young people in the afternoons and during school holidays.

Workshop - Syllables of Recorded Time

Välkommen att delta i en workshop i Movement Based Voice and Speech och få en inblick i arbetet med SpaceTimeLabs nya produktion Syllables of Recorded Time. 

Vi kommer värma upp kropp och röst och genom givna övningar improvisera med rörelse och text för att prova på några av de metoder som används i arbetet med föreställningen.

 

Vilka är vi?

SpaceTimeLab skapar interdisciplinär scenkonst, musik och ljudproduktion och leds av Anette Jellne och Richard Asker.

Sedan 2018 är SpaceTimeLab baserat i Malmö. Här har dansverken Cosmic Space (konstfilm i samarbete med Nordatlantens Brygge i Köpenhamn) och beställningsverket WaveShapes för Helsingborgs stad producerats samt dramatrilogin World at War med pjäserna Grounded, The Dream of the White Raven och Min Europeiska Kärlek.

SpaceTimeLabs etos är att arbeta med det sceniska hantverket för att öppna artistens potential som bidrar till ett kollektivt skapande, snarare än att vara underordnad en konceptuell idé. Vi eftersträvar en relationell process där de olika delarna föds ur och samspelar med varandra, med den levande gestaltningen i centrum.

Syllables of Recorded Time 

Join us for a workshop on Movement-based Voice and Speech and gain insight into the preparatory work currently going into SpaceTimeLab’s new production Syllables of Recorded Time.

We will warm up body and voice and, through guided exercises, improvise using movement and text to try out some of the methods being used in creating this performance.

Who are we?
SpaceTimeLab creates interdisciplinary performing arts, music, and sound production; artistic direction is in the hands of Anette Jellne and Richard Asker.

Since 2018, SpaceTimeLab has been based in Malmö. Previous productions include dance performance Cosmic Space (an art film in collaboration with Nordatlantens Brygge in Copenhagen), performance piece WaveShapes commissioned by the City of Helsingborg, as well as the drama trilogy World at War, the plays Grounded, The Dream of the White Raven, and My European Love.

SpaceTimeLab’s ethos is to work with stagecraft in order to unlock the artist’s potential, all of which contributes to a collective process of artistic creation rather than creativity being subordinate to any conceptual idea. We strive for a relational process where different areas originate from and interact with each other, with live performance always as the cornerstone of this process.

More-Than-Human Bodies – An Open Butoh Workshop

This open workshop invites participants to explore butoh as a practice of listening, presence and connection. Through simple, playful and dynamic exercises, we work with movement influenced by ecology, posthuman thinking and neurocreativity. The body is approached as part of a wider landscape — shaped by materials, forces and environments. No previous dance experience is needed. The workshop offers a shared space for exploration, creativity and well-being, where each participant is encouraged to develop their own personal dance at their own pace. The workshop is held in English.

Who am I?

Mayte Vaos is a choreographer, Butoh dancer, psychotherapist, and artistic researcher with over forty years of international practice. Her work centers on Butoh as a practice of deep listening, embodiment, and transformation, integrating psychophysical theatre, somatic inquiry, psychology, and ecological thinking. She is the founder of Mayte Vaos & the Institute for Creativity and Human Performance (Sweden), where she develops performances, workshops, and research-based laboratories exploring more-than-human bodies, presence, creativity, and healing through movement.
