Vilka är vi?
I Expressteaterns föreställningar kan en gest eller rörelse säga mer än ett ord. Expressteatern vill skapa en teater som är enkel och direkt, som synliggör människans drömmar och känslor. Gruppen är fascinerad av tystnaden, den som finns innanför och bortom orden. Expressteatern bildades 1986 efter studier vid Écoles Jacques Lecoq ”Mime, mouvement et théatre” i Paris. Vi har skapat fler än 40 föreställningar, mestadels för ung publik. Vi spelar både på vår egen scen i Malmö och på turné, med stöd av Malmö Stad och Region Skåne.

Join Expressteatern for a fast-paced story tale about a mysterious library where books suddenly come to life. Fairy-tale characters escape and create mayhem while the librarian tries to get them back.

THE STORY THAT VANISHED is a newly written performance with unexpected twists, using words, mime and music.

Who are we?
In Expressteatern’s performances, a gesture or movement can say more than words. Expressteatern aims to create theatre that is simple and direct, making human dreams and emotions visible. The group is fascinated by silence – the silence that exists within and beyond words. Expressteatern was founded in 1986 after studies at École Jacques Lecoq, “Mime, mouvement et théâtre,” in Paris. We have created more than 40 productions, mostly for young audiences. We perform both on our own stage in Malmö and on tour, with support from the City of Malmö and Region Skåne.

The YouTube channel owning, self-published author and dynamic therapy advocate, invites you to a workshop on how to locate, understand and overcome what’s keeping you from unlocking your full potential.

As a former Musical Theatre artist he has a long standing practice of getting over rejection under his belt. This prompted him to develop a method on how to foster a resilient mindset and reach your full potential. Through exercises, personal accounts and working through and with discomfort, you are familiarized with strategies from his book “Lose again. Lose better”, available at a discounted rate during the break.

 

Who am I?

Dina Gordon is a theatre maker and performer from Sweden, whose work searches for the blurred space between the so-called fictive and the so-called real. Always on the lookout for characters on the streets of nondescript cities, whose inner lives have gone unnoticed to most. She wants to place these peripheral lives on a stage. Making it the centre of a universe that is unsettling, comic and always in between. 

Dina has a background in classical ballet from The Royal Swedish Ballet School and Acting from East 15 Acting School in London, where she worked for a decade with her collective ‘all good artists are dead’ before moving back to Sweden. She has a degree from the international Master Programme in ‘Performing art as critical practice’ at Teaterhögskolan in Malmö. The work you will see is the culmination of two years of deepening, expanding and transforming her practice.

I 30 år har Dansstationen varit Sveriges största fria gästspelsscen för samtida dans. 

Välkomna in till ett samtal med Dansstationens verksamhetsledaren Lars Eidevall och Cecilia Malmström Olsson.

”Det började med att han spelade piano för danselever. Lars Eidevall tog sedan steget ut på golvet och gjorde dansen till sitt jobb. Nu är han veteran i Malmös dansvärld.”

Lars Eidevall har varit konstnärlig ledare för Dansstationen sedan starten 1996. Gästspelscenen växte fram ur dans- och teaterhuset Fakiren, nu Bastionen. År 2004 blev Palladium Dansstationens scen. År 2025 förlorade Dansstationen Palladium som scen för att, ett halvår senare återigen kunna kalla Palladium sin scen. Lars Eidevall har funnits med genom alla förändringar. 

Cecilia Malmström Olsson är fil.dr. i litteratur/dansvetenskap och har varit verksam inom dansområdet under de senaste 35 åren. Som forskare berör hon dans, estetik och politik ur olika perspektiv, med särskilt fokus på genus och normkritik.

For 30 years, Dansstationen has been Sweden’s largest independent receiving theatre space for contemporary dance.

Come listen in to the conversation held between Dansstationen’s Managing Director Lars Eidevall and Cecilia Malmström Olsson.

Lars Eidevall has been Artistic Director of Dansstationen since its founding in 1996. The receiving theatre space grew out of what was a theatre and stage for dance, Fakiren,(now Bastionen). In 2004, Palladium became Dansstationen’s permanent stage. In 2025, Dansstationen lost Palladium as a venue, only to once again reclaim Palladium as a home six months later. Lars Eidevall has been present every step of the way throughout changes.

Cecilia Malmström Olsson holds a PhD in literature/dance studies and has been active in the field of dance for the past 35 years. As a researcher, she approaches dance, aesthetics and politics from various perspectives, with a particular focus on gender and norm criticism.

Come listen in to a piece of local history of the cultural Malmö scene.

Lindy hop, charleston, stepp och bluesdans blandas med musik, magi och cirkus i en färgsprakande och rolig show som passar både ung och gammal.

Vi får följa Alice när hon – istället för att hamna i Underlandet – hamnar i Vintageland, New Orleans, där hon möter spännande karaktärer, svängig musik och oväntade överraskningar. Det blir ett fartfyllt äventyr som både hon och ni i publiken sent kommer att glömma.

Alice in Vintageland är ett nytt spännande samarbete mellan internationella artistduon DecaVita Sisters, skånebaserade jazzsångerska LinaMaria och lokala Lindy Hop- och bluesdansare.  Denna ” dansical” har  beräknad premiär sen vår 2026 och nu har du möjlighet att se några väl valda smakprov ur den i Lilla studion på Danscentrum i Malmö. Alice in Vintageland

Lindy hop, Charleston, tap, and blues dance-styles blend with music, magic and circus in a show suitable for young and old, full of colour and entertainment.

We follow Alice who – instead of tumbling down into Wonderland – lands on her feet in Vintageland, New Orleans, where she comes across exciting characters, swing music and most unexpected surprises. It all turns into a fast-paced adventure that neither she nor the audience will forget in a hurry.

Who are we?
Alice in Vintageland is an exciting new collaboration between the international performance duo DecaVita Sisters, Skåne-based jazz singer LinaMaria, and local Lindy Hop and blues dancers. This “dansical” (dance musical) is scheduled to premiere in late spring 2026, and you now have the opportunity to see selected previews in Lilla Studion at Danscentrum in Malmö.

Featuring: Rebecka DecaVita, Charlie DecaVita, LinaMaria Bengtsson, Mattias Bruzelius, and others.

Välkommen att delta i en workshop i Movement Based Voice and Speech och få en inblick i arbetet med SpaceTimeLabs nya produktion Syllables of Recorded Time. 

Vi kommer värma upp kropp och röst och genom givna övningar improvisera med rörelse och text för att prova på några av de metoder som används i arbetet med föreställningen.

 

Vilka är vi?

SpaceTimeLab skapar interdisciplinär scenkonst, musik och ljudproduktion och leds av Anette Jellne och Richard Asker.

Sedan 2018 är SpaceTimeLab baserat i Malmö. Här har dansverken Cosmic Space (konstfilm i samarbete med Nordatlantens Brygge i Köpenhamn) och beställningsverket WaveShapes för Helsingborgs stad producerats samt dramatrilogin World at War med pjäserna Grounded, The Dream of the White Raven och Min Europeiska Kärlek.

SpaceTimeLabs etos är att arbeta med det sceniska hantverket för att öppna artistens potential som bidrar till ett kollektivt skapande, snarare än att vara underordnad en konceptuell idé. Vi eftersträvar en relationell process där de olika delarna föds ur och samspelar med varandra, med den levande gestaltningen i centrum.

Syllables of Recorded Time 

Join us for a workshop on Movement-based Voice and Speech and gain insight into the preparatory work currently going into SpaceTimeLab’s new production Syllables of Recorded Time.

We will warm up body and voice and, through guided exercises, improvise using movement and text to try out some of the methods being used in creating this performance.

Who are we?
SpaceTimeLab creates interdisciplinary performing arts, music, and sound production; artistic direction is in the hands of Anette Jellne and Richard Asker.

Since 2018, SpaceTimeLab has been based in Malmö. Previous productions include dance performance Cosmic Space (an art film in collaboration with Nordatlantens Brygge in Copenhagen), performance piece WaveShapes commissioned by the City of Helsingborg, as well as the drama trilogy World at War, the plays Grounded, The Dream of the White Raven, and My European Love.

SpaceTimeLab’s ethos is to work with stagecraft in order to unlock the artist’s potential, all of which contributes to a collective process of artistic creation rather than creativity being subordinate to any conceptual idea. We strive for a relational process where different areas originate from and interact with each other, with live performance always as the cornerstone of this process.

More-Than-Human Bodies – An Open Butoh Workshop

This open workshop invites participants to explore butoh as a practice of listening, presence and connection. Through simple, playful and dynamic exercises, we work with movement influenced by ecology, posthuman thinking and neurocreativity. The body is approached as part of a wider landscape — shaped by materials, forces and environments. No previous dance experience is needed. The workshop offers a shared space for exploration, creativity and well-being, where each participant is encouraged to develop their own personal dance at their own pace. The workshop is held in English.

Who am I?

Mayte Vaos is a choreographer, Butoh dancer, psychotherapist, and artistic researcher with over forty years of international practice. Her work centers on Butoh as a practice of deep listening, embodiment, and transformation, integrating psychophysical theatre, somatic inquiry, psychology, and ecological thinking. She is the founder of Mayte Vaos & the Institute for Creativity and Human Performance (Sweden), where she develops performances, workshops, and research-based laboratories exploring more-than-human bodies, presence, creativity, and healing through movement.

I dansföreställningen Papperssvalan inspireras vi av papprets kraft och bräcklighet. Hur kan ett platt papper bli levande och magiskt och skapa en berättelse? Om kreativitetens kraft, tilliten till sin egen resa och om att våga visa sårbarhet. I Papperssvalan utforskar dansen var föremålen slutar och själen tar vid och styrkan i fantasin.

Titeln Papperssvalan står för frihet och möjligheter och pappret i sig – en symbol för både sårbarhet men också kreativitet. 

Fåglar har i alla tider haft en framträdande plats i olika kulturer och mytologier världen över. Genom sin förmåga att röra sig fritt mellan jord och himmel har fåglar blivit kraftfulla symboler för frihet, förbindelse och transformation. Inom många ursprungsbefolkningars traditioner har de en central betydelse, då de ofta ses som en förbindelse mellan den fysiska världen och den andliga.

Barnens scen är en arrangerande scen som presenterar scenkonst av hög kvalitet och varierande slag. Memory Wax är en etablerad professionell dansgrupp som är en av Barnens scens husgrupper.

The Paper Swallow

In the dance performance The Paper Swallow, we are inspired by the power and fragility of paper. How can a flat sheet of paper become alive, magical, create a story? It is about the power of creativity, trusting in your own journey, and daring to show vulnerability. In The Paper Swallow, dance explores where objects end and the soul begins and it explores the power of imagination.

The title of the piece, The Paper Swallow, represents freedom and opportunity, and paper itself – a symbol of both vulnerability and creativity. Birds have, throughout history, held a prominent place in cultures and mythologies the world over. Through their ability to move freely between earth and sky, birds have become powerful symbols of freedom, bonding and transformation. In many indigenous culture traditions, birds are of central significance, often seen as a link between the physical world and the spiritual.

Who are we?
Barnens scen is a receiving theatre that showcases different performing arts of high quality. Memory Wax is an established professional dance company and one of Barnens scen’s resident performance companies.
